1.Music Lessons
Trial lessons of 30-minutes are compulsory and charged at a discounted fee of £20, made payable on the day of tuition. After a trial lesson, lessons are purchased in blocks of 5 or 10 lessons, called 'Lesson Blocks'.
1.1 Lesson Fees
Lesson fees are reviewed yearly and revisions are updated yearly in line with the new tax year (April).
2. Lesson Blocks
Lesson Blocks of 5 or 10 lessons must be purchased in advance of tuition. Customers will receive a courtesy e-mail informing them when they have one lesson remaining of their lesson block, and again when their lesson block is complete. Lesson blocks are non-refundable.
Lesson Blocks are available to purchase when lessons available on the account are below 2 lessons.
2.1 Lesson Blocks Expiry
Lesson blocks of 5 lessons expire 3 months after purchase. Lesson blocks of 10 lessons expire 6 months after purchase. It is therefore important for the customer to ensure their diaries allow sufficient time for lessons to be carried out before making a purchase.
2.2 Cancellation
Just Play Music has a 24hr cancellation policy. If 24hrs notice is given, the lesson can be rescheduled. If less than 24hrs notice is given, the lesson will be deducted from the customer’s block and no refund will be permitted. In circumstances beyond the customer’s control, such as bereavement or an act of God, it is at the tutor’s discretion whether or not to implement the 24hr cancellation policy.
2.3 Termination of Tuition
If the customer decides to terminate tuition part way through a lesson block, they will not be permitted a refund. Tuition may be terminated at the end of any lesson block, and we advise the customer discusses termination with the tutor to ensure they have any necessary information they may need to continue effective music tuition in the future.
2.4 Customer Co-operation
Tutors will make every effort to extend and enhance the student’s knowledge in areas the student/customer requires however, it is necessary for student’s/customer’s to co-operate. Tutors will advise appropriate practise methods and techniques and if progress is slow, it may be necessary for tutors to discuss this further.
2.5 Music Tutors
Whilst engaging in tuition with Just Play Music, customers must not enter any conflicting music tuition agreements without prior discussion. This is in order to protect the company reputation and to ensure students receive the best possible results. If tutors discover a student to have multiple tutors (in the subject being taught), lessons will be terminated and any lessons remaining in the block will not be refunded. This circumstance is treated as termination part way through a lesson block (see section 2.3).

Online Lesson Blocks
3. Connection
At the start of each lesson, your tutor will confirm both parties can see and hear one another clearly. Only upon confirmation of this will an online lesson commence.
3.1 Connection Issues
Where internet connections fail or there is extensive lag/pixelation issues/audio distortion, lessons may be terminated. In these instances, time remaining will be added on to your next online lesson. Please note that this time will not be added to studio lessons where the customer has a Mix and Match Lesson Block.
3.1 Environment
To ensure effective online tuition, lessons must take place in an area with low noise levels and minimal disruptions. Where continuous disruptions occur and/or inappropriate language or behaviour is seen or heard, tuition may be terminated part-way through a lesson. Lessons terminated, for this reason, will be deducted from your block and considered as cancellation without 24hrs notice (see section 2.2).

If the customer/student requires a letter from Just Play Music in order for an authorised absence to be permitted, customers/students should email tuition@justplaymusic.org.uk

Different examination boards have different procedures and mark schemes. Examination results are often made available between 2 and 8 weeks after an examination.
